The 2013 Picnic is Sunday Sept. 8th 5-8 pm

Celebrate the River District (Pontiac Trail and Broadway area) and say good-bye to summer! 

• Bring a dish to pass, your own drinks, and please also bring a washable plate/cup/utensils (this is a Zero Waste Event).

• We'll have birthday cake for Eunice Burns, who was instrumental in founding Beckley Park--she just turned 90, wow!

Beckley Park is at Argo and Chandler.

Rain date Sunday Sept. 15th.

Neighbors who have stepped forward to play music this year thus far:

• Like last year, Eric Arnold and his friends will play renaissance and baroque music
• New this year will be Suzanne Camino and her daughter Elena who will play traditional Irish music.
• Also new this year will be Joe Lucas on bass, Rich Dishman on drums, and whomever else wants to join in with them.  Any musicians out there available?

Highlights from the 2012 picnic

• The picnic was held Sunday July 22nd and was a wonderful success!
• Head counts were difficult since people came and went throughout the evening, but a couple hundred participants is not a stretch....
• We had fantastic music complements of some mighty talented neighbors (and friends of neighbors).  A description of each is coming soon.
